In April 2023, I completed my Master’s degree in Employment Law and started my legal traineeship at a large law firm. During my studies, I gained experience as a student intern, working student, and paralegal at various law firms, including Loyens & Loeff, Houthoff, and Everaert Advocaten, where I focused on employment law, immigration law, and corporate law.

As a trainee lawyer at a large law firm, I frequently advised commercial organizations on privacy and data protection law, particularly regarding employees’ right to privacy. I realized that the combination of privacy law and employment law increasingly sparked my interest. Eventually, during my traineeship, I concluded that I wanted to fully focus my practice on employment law.

When I came into contact with L&A Advocaten, there was an immediate connection due to the shared passion for this area of law. Employment law is tangible and human, and the role of the lawyer is to translate legal theory into practical solutions. As a lawyer, I find it important to quickly identify the legal issues in a case, unravel them, and provide clients with practical advice.

At L&A Advocaten, I assist our valued clients with various employment law matters, such as dismissal law, business transfers, and personnel policies. I find it particularly interesting to advise on the strategies surrounding legal proceedings, which can make a significant difference in the outcome. Lastly, I enjoy conducting courses and awareness training to keep our clients and their employees informed on a range of topics.
