Frank advises on national and international pension issues, including the establishment, amendment, transfer and closure of pension plans and pension providers. He works for large and medium sized companies, pension providers (pension funds, insurance companies and PPI’s) and their administrators. He is also experienced in advising on the pension aspects of complex (multi-jurisdictional) M&A transactions. Frank represents a wide array of clients in disputes related to pension schemes and the implementation thereof, for example regarding discussions on the implementation agreements between company and pension provider, discussions on pension entitlements of employees and pensioners including indexations thereof and the participation to mandatory industry wide pension funds.
I have practiced in pension law for over 25 years and am a leading professional in the field of pensions in the Netherlands. I regularly publish and lecture on subjects in the field of pensions and am a member of various professional associations.
I started my professional life in 1992 as an employment and benefits lawyers and later specialized in pensions law. Before joining L&A Advocaten, I worked at Allen & Overy/A&O Shearman, Loyens & Loeff and Holland Van Gijzen and cofounded a boutique Dutch pension and employment law firm. I also worked as external counsel for a Dutch pension provider for a period of 5 years.
