I was sworn in as a lawyer in 1987. I worked at Nauta Dutilh from 1987 to 1997. After a stint serving as a deputy judge, I joined Allen & Overy from 2000 to 2008. In 2008, I co-founded L&A Advocaten with Arlette Putker-Blees.
I have co-authored several publications for Kluwer and Kluwer Law International, Allen & Overy and the Employment Law Association. From 2017 to 2020, I chaired the layoff committee at Randstad Group Netherlands.
